The name Bahia is linked to Indian, Spanish and Portuguese languages. One literal translation is that Bahia is taken to mean bay. This reflects the different types of teachers landing in and linking in to the Yoga Bay (Bahia Yoga).

Who we are
Bahia Yoga opened in 2003, offering traditional Hatha Yoga and classical Meditation classes. Our director has been teaching in the wellbeing field for over 15 years, and our co-founder began teaching Philosophy in 2002 and Meditation from 2007. Since 2011 we’ve been running Yoga Teacher Trainings in Nottingham. Our teachers have taught throughout the UK and internationally. The tutors
Bahia Yoga is registered under Jasmin Bahia Ltd (2011) and run by Jasmin Bahia and co-founder Jake Dartington. All teachers including Jasmin, Jake, Rachel, Janice, Claire and Caroline have previous experience of running and leading Hath Yoga Teacher Training Programmes with Yoga Nottingham (and/or Yoga London). We are pleased to welcome Marcus Batey as the new addition to the team.
