COURSE STRUCTURE

We run short-term intensives (12 weekends) or long-term courses (10 months). Our unique Hatha Yoga Teacher Training runs on Saturdays and Sundays. We have previous experience of running successful Yoga Teacher Trainings (our graduates are out there teaching).

Our 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainings equip you to be a registered, qualified and a certified Yoga Teacher in the UK , Europe and Worldwide. You will be ready to teach your own private classes, groups or one to one sessions. You will be able to teach in gyms, schools, colleges, small or large businesses.

HOW IS THE DAY STRUCTURED?

Each weekend the teaching theme sets the tone for a certain day. For example a typical day could be as follows:
• 9.00am to 11.00am Yoga Class (e.g focus on spinal twists, supine, seated, standing)
• 11.00am to 11.15am Break (time for chai and chat)
• 11.15am to 1pm Theory Class (e.g. Anatomy & Physiology - spinal rotation)
• 1.00pm -2.00pm Lunch-time
• 2.00pm to 4.00pm Theory Class (e.g.meditation, and spinal support)
• 4.00pm to 4.15pm Break
• 4.15pm to 5.00pm Teaching Methods/ Practice (e.g how to teach twists, preparation and their counter poses).
How are the hours covered? All Yoga Alliance accredited Teacher Training Courses require 200 hours training hours. This is made up of 180 practical teaching hours, 20 hours non-contact time, along with 40 hours home practice, home study, assignments, teaching practice and class observations. This course covers a total of 240 hours and fulfils the requirements for the Yoga Alliance certification.

SUPPORT DURING THE COURSE

What kind of help and support will I receive on this Yoga Teacher Training Programme? You will receive one to one and group support throughout the course. Our teachers are available for questions pre and post teaching sessions. We offer regular feedback, and encouragement to help nurture your development. Course work, home study assignments and practices are built gradually to reflect your skills and match the knowledge you will have gained each month.
There is a whole new wealth of knowledge to absorb and learn on the 200 hour Teacher Training Programmes; be ready, committed and prepared both off and on the mat. Create time for weekly home study, along with the up keep of a regular Yoga practice and journal for the duration of the training. Be prepared for an interactive, challenging and rewarding learning experience.

How can I adapt my modern day life to fit in with the Yoga Teacher Training Programme? We all have family or personal commitments, work duties and responsibilities (dharma). In this modern fast paced world more is expected of us than to Eat, Love and Pray. This course is geared to fit around your life, and is structured with clarity and delivered practically. The real challenge and aim of the course is to help you incorporate and integrate Yoga (teachings and practice) into your day to day life and feel the benefits from the course on a practical and real level. Once you are on the course commit wholeheartedly and fully, with regular Yoga practice, teaching and the support from the group you will soon blossom

FEES AND QUALIFICATIONS

How do I secure my place on the course? In order to secure a place on the course, please complete the ‘register my place’ form – once you have been offered a place on the course, a £600 deposit guarantees your place. The full fee for the course is £1,995 inclusive of the training manual, all tuition and examinations fees and certificates. There is an early bird special fee, which is £1,795 (pay the deposit of £600 at least 60 days prior to your course start date). What is the next step after I have completed my course and met all the requirements?
• Register as a teacher with Yoga Alliance
• Obtain a valid insurance certificate which is needed before you can teach
• This course will meet the 200 hour Yoga Alliance (USA) accreditation, you will be able to display RYT after your name (Registered Yoga Teacher) and use the Yoga Alliance logo. This is needed if you intend to teach Yoga once you have completed the qualification.
Can I teach in gyms and set up my own private classes?
• Yes the qualification entitles you to teach in gyms, and to set up your own private classes, or run yoga workshops and yoga retreats
