Please book before attending a class at Bahia Yoga. Most of our classes run either as a single class pass or 4 class passes, which you can buy direct online.  If you have any queries please get in touch, we will be happy to help.

Here’s a list of all our current classes and some tips on what to do next.

— Please bring along your own Yoga mat, or hire a mat for £1

Classes are set at complimentary levels of ability
Level 1 — New to Yoga, a beginner Yoga student this one’s for you – B
Level 2 — Confident and able to move through the basic poses then try level two.
Level 3 — Been doing Yoga for more than 18 to 24 months? This is for you.

MONDAY
10 to 11am Hatha Yoga Flow  (Level 1) with Jatta, runs term time only
Monday Morning Mellow Yoga! – Get your energy flowing and steady yourself with soothing Yoga poses that flow comfortably and allow you to warm up the body and reduce stiffness and tension in the joints. Clear guidance and options available and you’ll have time to relax and switch off too. B – Open to Beginners.

5.15p to 6.15pm Ashtanga Yoga  (Level 1 to 2) with Jasmin 
If you are keen to find a flowing style of Yoga that challenges you physically and mentally and wish to build up strength, stamina and flexibility pretty quickly this dynamic style of Yoga is for you.

Level 1-2 Monthly 4-Class Pass for £32, or the  Evening/Weekend £11 Single Class Pass – This is also open to  Level 2-3 Monthly 4-Class Pass for £32. Or as part of the Super Monthly 10-class pass (all levels) for £80

TUESDAY
5pm to 6.30pm Meditation with Jake
Insight Meditation is a practice that can deepen the potential to live with some sense of wisdom, kindness and compassion. The practice is derived from the Buddhist tradition and is accessible and appropriate for people of any religious affiliation or none. Insight Meditation is the traditional inspiration behind contemporary mindfulness-based therapies and methods. These sessions are not suitable for beginners. 7 to 8pm Hatha Yoga (Level 1 to 2) with Sheryl 
A mindfully paced Hatha Yoga class based on flowing movements, providing stability in standing poses, and ease in opening the chest to help prepare for prone backbend poses.  Seated and supine poses offering flexibility for the legs (quads and hamstrings), poses to help strengthen the back and release tension in  the hips.  B – open to Beginners.

WEDNESDAY
12.30 to 1.15pm  Lunchtime Yoga (Level 1 to 2) – with Jasmin
A flowing, alignment based Yoga class to pick you up in the middle of the day. Yoga sequences to rejuvenate and release shoulders, neck, spine and hips. Not suitable for beginners. Please note this class runs mainly during school terms  – Please check the timetable for updates.

Daytime £8 Single Class Pass or  Level 1-2 Monthly 4-Class Pass for £32

6 to 7pm Hatha Yoga for Beginners (Level 1) with Jasmin  
Covering the basics and beyond of Yoga, from standing, seated, simple twists and bringing an awareness to mind, body, breath and movement. Get to grips with some of the steps to build up a simple yet strong and effective Yoga practice. Every four weeks the course follows a theme, to promote a deeper understanding of the different threads, which make up a holistic Yoga practice. B – perfect class for Beginners.

Beginners Monthly 4-Class Pass for £30 (no drop in’s available for this class)

7.30 to 8.40pm Dynamic Yoga (Level 2 to 3) Ashtanga inspired  
This class is suitable for anyone practising Yoga longer than 18 months and the emphasis is on a stronger element to the poses, focusing on alignment, breath awareness and flowing into and out of the poses smoothly. These sessions are inspired by Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow. Not just about the physical side of Yoga, you’ll have some meditation, chanting and deep relaxation time too. Note this class is not suitable for beginners.

THURSDAY
7.30 to 8.15am Yoga Breakfast Club (All levels) with Jasmin 
The perfect start to your day! An  uplifting 45 minute Yoga class followed by a coffee or tea, and Breakfast pot, these Yoga classes runs in conjunction with our friendly neighbour’s the OutPost Coffee Shop, which is directly below the studio.

6.30 to 7.40pm Hatha Yoga (Level  2) with Nicola 
A mindful and uplifting Yoga class for mixed levels of ability. Ideal if you’ve been doing Yoga for 6 months as it’s the next step to help build gradual physical strength, stamina and stability in posture (asana) and stillness of mind and body through breathing exercises (pranayama techniques). A slow, steady and strong asana practice combined with breath awareness and relaxation techniques. Not suitable for complete beginners.

8 to 9pm Hatha Vinyasa Flow (Level 1 to 2) with Jatta 
An uplifting Yoga class, which aims to help you wind down for the evening, with soothing and deep yet open stretches, combined with movement focusing on the breath. The Vinyasa Hatha Flow Yoga poses will aim to bring stillness, strength and calmness into your body and mind. B – Open to Beginners and people who have more experience of Yoga too.

FRIDAY
12.30 to 1.15pm  Lunchtime Yoga  (Level 1 to 2 ) – with Anneli
A nourishing lunchtime sessions with a thoughtful attitude to add a spring in your step as you return to work post Yoga. Get moving and stretching with some stillness – open to mixed levels (not for complete beginners). Covering the classical elements of Yoga as well as, relaxation and simple breathing exercises.

6 to 7pm  Hatha Yoga  (Level 1 to 2 )  with Nicola
A grounding and soothing Friday evening Hatha Yoga class for mixed levels of ability. The class will include some strengthening standing poses, supportive and steady seated poses, stabilising hip and back openers, and some mindful mini inversions. Following the vinyasa krama focus on placing postures in a particular sequence to work with mindful breath awareness.

SATURDAY
9.30 to 10.30am Hatha Yoga Flow (Level 1 to 2) with Jatta
A soothing flow paced class, open to level 1 and 2 students. Covering the basic classical standing and seated poses, with an emphasis on learning how to breathe and flow into poses with alignment tips. Building to mindful twists for the spine and soothing forward bends to release the hamstrings.B – Open to Beginners.

SUNDAY
9.30 to 10.40am Hatha Yoga Flow  (Level 2) with Jasmin
An invigorating and cleansing Sunday morning class for more experienced Yogis. Covering meditation, pranayama, asana, relaxation and linking into Yoga philosophy. A set theme will be offered each week, for example, healthy back, or opening the hips – but will still follow the classical Yoga sequencing offered by Bahia Yoga.

6 to 7.15pm Sunday Series  (for all levels)  Course 2 Sunday 24th September, 2017
The Sunday Series will run as a four week course, covering the subtle yet deeper aspects of Yoga. Topics include Yoga philosophy, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Pranayama or Meditation. Each week students will be offered some tasks to complete to help deepen their practice. This course will be suitable for anyone new to Yoga, to Yoga teachers, trainees and regular students of Yoga. We wish to make this course accessible for all levels of ability. The fee including handouts and audio recording will be £45.

The next 4 week course begins Sunday 24th September and covers Mudra, Mantra and Meditation.

This class pass is valid for any 4 of the following classes:

Thursday Hatha Yoga, 6.30 to 7.40pm
Sunday Hatha Yoga, 9.30 to 10.40am

Super Monthly 10-class pass £80
This is an all level class pass, suitable for mixed levels, but not open to complete beginners, and not valid for the Yoga Breakfast Club or Wednesday Beginners Yoga.
This class pass is valid for any 10 of the following classes:

Monday Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow 5.15 to 6.15pm
