4 Week Pranayama Course – Breathing Techniques. Regular breathing practice is beneficial to help our increase our lung capacity and reduce tension and stress. This 4-week introductory course will run online and in person.

The Pranayama course covers the following:

  1. The benefits of a regular pranayama practice (week one)
  2. How our breath links to our thinking (week two)
  3. How to breathe when we are stressed, or ill (week three)
  4. Tips and guidance on how to build  a regular practice (week four)

The course will include selected postures for good breathwork, guided practices, and meditation practices. The pranayama techniques include belly breathing, three-part yogic breathing, box breathing, and alternate nostril breathing. This course is suitable for anyone looking to gain insight into pranayama and developing a daily breathing practice.  It’s also suitable for teachers and regular students of yoga who would like to refresh their skills.

The session is led by Jasminder Bahia, Director of Bahia Yoga. A practitioner psychologist and course leader for the Bahia Yoga training programmes. She holds extensive knowledge of traditional pranayama techniques and modern scientific approaches to breathwork.

Fees for the 4-week Pranayama Course – Breathing Techniques £60 for the whole course- Please book online. 

Saturday Mornings: 11.30 am to 1 pm: January 22, January 29, February 19, February 26 

Cancellations, less than 28 days before the course there will be no refunds or transfers unless the course/ workshop is full and your place can be filled from a waiting list.  If you provide more than 28 days’ notice for a cancellation, a refund (minus a 20% fee) will be made before the start date.
