Autumn Mindful Yoga Lunch

Our autumn Mindful Yoga lunch is on Friday 28th September 12.30pm to 1.45pm
Note there’s an option to leave 5 minutes or so earlier, for any one wishing to return to their workplace.

Mindful eating is a way of being more aware and focused on how we eat. Paying close attention to how food tastes, looks and smells. Often people say that eating more slowly helps them to appreciate and enjoy their food more.

Jasmin (the founder of Bahia Yoga) and Jake (Nottingham Mindfulness teacher) have attended many Vipassana and Zen retreats overs the years. They are inspired to bring some of the mindful eating they have experienced on retreat into people’s day-to-day lives.

What is Mindful eating?

Mindful eating emphasises the following:

• Eating slowly and without distraction.

• Engaging your senses by noticing colours, smells, sounds, textures and tastes.

• Eating to maintain overall health and well being.

• Appreciating your food.

How do I book onto the Mindful Yoga Lunch ?

Tickets are £15 per person – they are non-refundable and non-transferable, please ensure you can attend before booking.

Who can attend the Mindful Yoga Lunch?

The event is open to anyone who wishes to take a break from the day-to-day activities and join in a 75-minute session. The first 30 to 40 minutes will include simple poses to aid digestion and help you to practice some mindfulness and meditative techniques. This will then be linked into the simple and nutritious food cooked by Beth from Kiosk. The latter 30 minutes or so, will focus on eating your food and sitting with like-minded people.

The Yoga and practices are suitable for all levels of experience regardless of your ability and level of practice and also if you are new to Yoga. The lunch will be served at Bahia Yoga, and will include options for vegan and gluten free. Bird and Blend will provide tea and drinks.  We hope you can join us at our first session this summer. If you have any queries please get in touch before booking.
