Somerset Weekend Retreat 2021

YOGA, MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS

This 3 night Somerset weekend is offering you a space to nurture your practice. Jake and Jasminder provide a mixture of physical and mind-based practices. Focussing on traditional and contemporary Hatha Yoga. With mantra and pranayama (guided breathing techniques). Guided meditation and journaling practices, and philosophical discussions, and input from both teachers.

To help create a reflective and open-friendly environment, there will be a mixture of silence and conversation times throughout the weekend.

THE VENUE

It’s a tranquil, stylish, and unique spot that is perfect to escape the stresses of everyday life. Clayhill Arts Centre is situated 4 miles outside of the historic market town of Bridgwater, in the heart of a 140-acre arable farm in Somerset. Heating and hot water are supplied by biomass technology,  electricity by solar technology, and all of the water around the site is fed by a natural spring.

The accommodation consists of 8 en-suite bedrooms, arranged as a mixture of twins and doubles. Each room has its own tea and coffee-making facilities and an outdoor seating area.

With an open plan kitchen, dining area, and library, with an upper mezzanine.  Beautiful roof lighting into the studio, where yoga, meditation, and mindfulness will take place. Surrounded by open windows and plenty of natural light, you’ll be able to absorb the scenery and local landscape. With four interlinking barns, there’s plenty of room and space for quiet time, exploration and development.

THE FOOD

Homemade-cooked food is provided for the duration of the stay. It’s a meat-free weekend – with wholesome tasty vegetarian and vegan options laid out for you buffet-style. If you are feeling peckish, there’s light refreshments, hot drinks, and fruits throughout the trip
