Somerset Weekend Retreat – Summer 2020

A weekend of Yoga and Mindfulness is on offer at our Somerset Weekend Retreat  2020
Friday 31 July, Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August 2020

The Somerset Weekend Retreat

YOGA & MINDFULNESS

Jake and Jasmin  will run 8 sessions to help develop and deepen your practice. With two workshops on self practise, philosophy and Q&As. To help create a reflective and open friendly environment, there will be a mixture of silence and conversation times throughout the weekend.

Mindfulness includes seated meditation, gentle movements and lying down practises. These will help to develop greater awareness of the body and to gain more perspective on our emotions and thoughts. The Yoga sessions include guided asana and pranayama. With slow flowing sequences, building stronger and deeper holds, suitable for different levels of ability.  Each practise will help to nurture the body and still the mind in preparation for Yoga Nidra or Restorative Yoga.

THE VENUE

A tranquil, stylish and unique spot which is perfect to escape the stresses of everyday life. Clayhill Arts Centre is situated 4 miles outside of the historic market town of Bridgwater, in the heart of an 140-acre arable farm in Somerset. Accommodation consists of 8 en-suite bedrooms, arranged as a mixture of twins and doubles. Heating and hot water is supplied by biomass technology,  electricity by solar technology and all of the water around the site is fed by a natural spring.

With an open plan kitchen, dining area and library, with an upper mezzanine.  Beautiful roof lighting into the studio, where the Yoga and Meditation will take place. Surrounded by open windows and plenty of natural light, you’ll be able to absorb the scenery and local landscape. With four interlinking barns there’s plenty of room and space for quiet time, exploration and development.
