Summer Solstice Yoga & Meditation Retreat!

Summer solstice yoga & meditation retreat. Held in Wyre Forest, led by Jasmin and Jake. A non-residential weekend to replenish and restore your energy. Open to all levels from beginners to experienced students. 

Note this retreat has been moved now and we will run a day retreat in September instead.

 

Location

The Wyre Forest discovery centre is located at Callow Hill, 3 miles west of Bewdley on the A456. Sat nav postcode; DY14 9XQ. There is a big car park, however there is a charge for this, all proceeds goes to the forest conservation. 
 

Yoga and Meditation 

Offering a spectrum of classical and contemporary style of yoga and meditation from both teachers. Jasmin will lead variations on the full-body surya prostrations (sun salutations). With an insight into the mantra and mudras that accompanied this simple yet powerful practice. Balanced with twists and Chandra (moon) sequences and soothing pranayama breathing techniques. Ending with yin like poses and Yoga Nidra. Jake will lead the meditation, mindfulness with philosophical soundbites. His sessions will focus on adapting to changes that the solstice offers, helping to find balance in both your practice and day-to-day life.

With plenty of adaptations and modifications to help quieten your practice. And lots of alternative sequences to nourish and challenge anyone seeking to deepen their skills in both yoga and meditation. 

Summer solstice weekend

Summer solstice is the longest day of the year and contains more hours between sunrise and sunset than any other day. The solstice is an auspicious time to honour the sun and embrace that arms of nature. With this in mind (weather dependent) we will take a short practice outdoors. This is a non-residential weekend, and students are welcome to attend both days, or a single day.

Teachers

Jasmin and Jake are the lead tutors on the Bahia Yoga 200-hour teacher trainings. Jasmin is a Psychologist, a Student of Zen, and a teacher of Restorative, Yin Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga.  She has trained in both Classical Hatha and Vinyasa Flow. Jake is a Vipassana Buddhist, teaching Meditation and Mindfulness trainings and workshops across Europe.
