Yoga for the Elephants

We are delighted to announce this August, we will be hosting a Yoga workshop to raise money for the Elephant Sanctuary. These beautiful beings are the most compassionate animals on the planet and we want to do our part to help with their welfare and wellbeing.

This workshop runs on Sunday 2nd August 2015 9.30am to 11.00am and will be led by our Yoga teacher and passionate Vegan Roxy and hosted by Jasmin.

Suggested donations are £20 each (you are welcome to donate more than this)
Note: At this stage we suggest handing in a cash donations on the day, or passing them when you are next at the studio.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE SANCTUARY

The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, was founded in 1995, provides the largest USA natural habitat refuge developed specifically for endangered African and Asian elephants.
The Elephant Sanctuary exists for two reasons:
• To provide a haven for old, sick or needy elephants in a setting of green pastures,
dense forests, spring-fed ponds and heated barns for cold winter nights.
• To provide education about the crisis facing these social, sensitive, passionately intense,
playful, complex, exceedingly intelligent and endangered creatures.

THE WORKSHOP

This earth focussed and grounded Yoga workshop will help to bring a connection to the body with flowing mindful yet strong movements. The asanas and pranayama will help to create a deeper sense of compassion and wellbeing. The session is open to mixed levels of ability, but is not suitable for beginners to Yoga. For anyone who is new to Yoga or a beginner please book onto the Wednesday evening 6pm Yoga classes.
