The Benefits of Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra is an ancient yogic practice. It’s a form of awareness and guided meditation which you can done in a chair or laying down. A systematic form of guided relaxation that can take up to 15, 20 or 30 minutes to practice.

Through a regular practice of Yoga Nidra we can restore our body, senses, and mind. It can offer a sense of wellbeing and a state of acceptance and peacefulness.  The practice brings immediate physical benefits, such as reduced stress and better sleep.

Yoga Nidra is for everyone

Because yoga nidra is often taught lying down it appeals to most people. A short version of yoga nidra can be introduced and practiced in less than 10 minutes. However, its various elements, taken together and practiced regularly, make up a sophisticated set of mind-body tools. That can help direct us through life’s ups and downs. For those seeking everyday well-being, it can also be practiced as an accessible form of meditation. This Sunday Series, is led by Jasmin the founder of Bahia Yoga, a Practitioner Psychologist and student of Zen. Jasmin first began teaching Yoga Nidra in 2010. She continues to develop her skills and techniques and updated her trainings in  Yoga Nidra in 2018.
