60 hours Yoga Foundation Course
The next 60 hours Yoga Foundation Course runs from March to July 2024
Meeting once a month in person on a Sunday at our Nottingham studio. The Mini Yoga Foundation Course is ideal to help develop your practice and deepen your knowledge of Yoga. After successful completion of this 60 hours foundation course, you may wish to consider applying for the 200 hours yoga teacher training programme.
What will I learn on the 60 hours yoga foundation course?
By participating in this course, you will learn about the principles of Yogic philosophy, the history of Yoga, and its modern applications. Our approach promotes inclusivity, creating a space where individuals from all backgrounds can practice and learn. The course also explores decolonising Yoga practices from South Asian and African perspectives.
The course covers foundational poses, alignment principles, pranayama (more than just breathing techniques), and meditation practices. You will have the opportunity to develop a regular practice of Pranayama and Mantra (chanting and use of sound), as well as experience the benefits of deep rest for the body in Savasana.
The course consists of approximately 35 hours of classroom sessions with personalised support from tutors, along with 25 hours of non-class hours for self-practice, reading, journaling, and assignments. All sessions take place in person at our studio, providing a nurturing learning environment.

How will I be able to apply this learning?
The course is designed to be interactive and will help to build a solid foundation of applied Yoga. Learn to apply practical skills to your day-to-day life, from journaling, self-practice and study, meditation, pranayama, and skills for relaxation.
Will I gain a certificate?
Yes, students gain a certificate provided they have attended the full course. And have completed the mini assignments and self-practice modules – developing their self-practice. The course is not a teaching qualification. However, it does provide an excellent framework for those wishing to deepen their studies and practice of Yoga. It serves as an ideal stepping stone toward further training.
