Yoga Classes Nottingham

Please book in advance before attending a class at Bahia Yoga.

Welcome to our yoga sessions, both in-person and online. We offer a variety of yoga classes, both in-person and online. Our online classes include live-streamed in-studio options and online classes, including Yoga Nidra and one-off events – you can book via our booking system.

IN-PERSON 6 pm to 7 pm Yoga & Meditation for all levels – resumes mid-June 2023

The class offers postural yoga (asana) movements combined with pranayama (breathing techniques) – As well as simple guided meditation, and savasana (relaxation). The aim of this class is to help you destress, release mental and physical fatigue and feel healthier. This class runs live from the studio. This class follows some of the Ashtanga and Sivananda Yoga style principles. These classes are on hold until June

IN-PERSON and ONLINE: 7.30 am to 8.15 am Early Morning Yoga with Karen Nix

This is a class designed to increase your flexibility and help you with building strength and stamina through a gentle mindful postural flow. This class is also suited to beginners and also suitable for all bodies and ages. Includes meditation and pranayama, which encourage you to find ways to relax and calm the mind. This class runs live from the studio. 
 

IN-PERSON and ONLINE: 6 pm to 7.15 pm Hatha Yoga with Suzanne Kerwin*

No class on Tuesday 13 June 2023 due to the Online Yoga Nidra class

A mindfully paced Hatha Yoga class based on flowing movements with a guided relaxation and pranayama (breathwork) focus, suitable for all levels of experience. Single Class pass or buy a 5 or 10 multi-class pass: Click here for class credits

 


In-person or Online: 5 pm to 5.45 pm Meditation Class with Jasminder Bahia 

A simple practice of sitting and walking meditation opened to all levels of experience. The sessions run online or in person and are available to our members. Members are people who hold a valid 10-class pass or hold a rolling monthly membership with Bahia Yoga.

In-person: 6 pm to 7.15 pm Yoga & Relaxation for Beginners + All levels with Jodie Rogers

A mindfully paced Yoga class-based, suitable for beginners and beyond focussing on classical postures, and simple flowing movements with a focus on a longer guided relaxation (Svasana). IN-PERSON and ONLINE: 7 pm to 8 pm Hatha Dynamic Yoga with Karen*

A classical yoga class, with strengthening asanas. This class offers a steady-paced flowing sequence, with time for meditation and relaxation. Suitable for experienced students, or people who have been attending sessions for a few months.

IN-PERSON: 12 pm to 12.45 pm Community  Meditation Class – ON HOLD

This class runs live from the studio. 

We are committed to making classes accessible for everyone, and we have a community class fee available of £5 for this session. A reduced fee entry is limited to those who cannot afford the regular fee, so we encourage only using the £5 class credit if you need extra support at this time. This class is also led by trainee teachers who are still developing their skills. We recommend not attending this class if you require specific focused support – or are recovering from an injury, or if your doctor or carer has recommended Yoga. In this instance, we ask you to book a class with a more experienced teacher. 

This class requires a minimum of four attendees for the session to run.

IN-PERSON and ONLINE:  10 am to 11.15 am Hatha Yoga with Meditation Jasminder 

Covering the basic classical standing and seated poses, with an emphasis on learning how to focus on breathing and flow into and out of yoga asanas (poses). Expect mindful cues and guidance on alignment and postural awareness. Open to mixed levels of experience, the practice is adapted for different abilities. This class runs live from the studio.

10 am to 11.15 am: IN-PERSON and ONLINE: Hatha Yoga & Yoga Nidra with Paula Clarke

We have a 4-week course for people who are interested in learning more about Yoga Nidra alongside their Hatha Yoga practice. You can join the course, or drop in for one session. Regular class members can use their current class passes to attend these sessions.
