Please book in advance before attending a class at Bahia Yoga.

Welcome to our in-person and online sessions. Classes run either as a single class pass, or 5 and 10 class pass options, which you can buy directly online.  If you have any queries please get in touch, we will be happy to help.

Morning and Lunchtime classes 8 hours in advance. Please read our studio policy on COVID-19. We ask all students to wear face masks on entry and exit, and as a studio, we continue to keep ample spaces between mats.

IN-PERSON: 5.15 pm to 6 pm Yoga & Meditation for beginners with Jasminder*

Please check the timetable for this class – this class will be running on two to three Mondays of every month.  As Jasminder is running teacher training two weekends a month this means there is no class on Monday 9 or 16 May 2022.

*Attendees at the 5.15 pm class have an option to join in the first 10 minutes of the pranayama and meditation for the 6 pm class.

IN-PERSON and ONLINE: 6 pm to 7 pm Ashtanga Yoga Slow and Steady  with Jasminder

This is a slow, steady, strength-based hybrid of Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga-based sequences. Adapting and modifying the practice to suit your body and ability. The class offers pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, and savasana (relaxation). The aim of this class is to help you destress, release mental and physical fatigue and feel healthier. This class runs live from the studio.

Online: 6 pm to 7 pm Hatha Yoga with Suzanne Kerwin

A mindfully paced Hatha Yoga class based on flowing movements with a guided relaxation and pranayama (breathwork) focus. This is an online class, live-streamed from the teacher’s home. Single Class pass or buy a 5 or 10 multi-class pass: Click here for class credits

 

IN-PERSON and ONLINE:

5.30 pm to 6.30 pm: Yoga & Meditation for beginners + All levels –  with Jasminder

This class is open to beginners or to anyone looking to reconnect with their practice of yoga asana and meditation. The class will cover movements to help mobilise the joints, and work on set sequences to alleviate stress for the hips and back. The mediation will focus on relaxation and breath awareness. This class runs lives from the studio. 

6.30 pm to 7.30 pm Hatha Dynamic Yoga with Karen

Mindful-paced classical yoga class, with strengthening asanas. This class offers a steady-paced flowing sequence, with time for meditation and relaxation. Suitable for all levels including beginners. This class runs live from the studio.

IN-PERSON and ONLINE: 7.30 am to 8.15 am Early Morning Yoga with Karen Nix

This is a class designed to increase your flexibility and help you with building strength and stamina through a gentle mindful postural flow. This class is also suited to beginners and also suitable for all bodies and ages. Includes meditation and pranayama, which encourage you to find ways to relax and calm the mind. This class runs live from the studio.

IN-PERSON and ONLINE: Lunchtime Yoga & Meditation 12 pm to 1 pm  with Jasminder*

This class is open to beginners or to anyone looking to reconnect with their practice of yoga asana and meditation. The class will cover movements to help mobilise the joints, and work on set sequences to alleviate stress for the hips and back. The mediation will focus on relaxation and breath awareness. This class runs lives from the studio.

IN-PERSON and ONLINE:  10 am to 11 am Hatha Yoga Flow with Jasminder 

Covering the basic classical standing and seated poses, with an emphasis on learning how to focus on breathing and flow into and out of yoga asanas (poses). Expect mindful cues and guidance on alignment and postural awareness. Open to mixed levels of experience, the practice is adapted for different abilities. This class runs live from the studio.

IN-PERSON and ONLINE: 10 am to 11.00 am Hatha Yoga with Paula Clarke

A mindful-paced class focussing on Hatha Yoga postures, with simple flows to help stretch and strengthen the body. includes relaxation, savasana, and simple guided breathwork. Suitable for mixed levels of experience including beginners. This class runs live from the studio.

Class levels explained

Level 1 — New to Yoga, a beginner Yoga student this one’s for you  (suitable for pregnant students)*
Level 2 — Confident and able to move through the basic poses then try level two.
Level 3 — Been doing Yoga for more than 18 to 24 months? This is for you.
All levels For mixed levels including beginners to more experienced students.

*Classes that are suitable during pregnancy are led by Director Jasminder Bahia, or Jasmine Sodhi please check in advance.

Fees

We continue to offer our classes live online with various membership options. This will allow people to make their own decisions about returning to the studio for in-person classes. There are three different class options to choose from via the booking system.

1 – In-person classes with limited numbers, in compliance with the latest distancing guidelines
2 – Live streamed in-studio classes (join an in-studio class – limited numbers)
3 – Join our existing online classes (taught from the teachers’ homes)
