Yoga for World Refugee Day
World Refugee Day – Raising Awareness on 20th June, 2019
We are taking part in the 7 Simple Acts for Refugee Week, and this includes ‘Yoga in the Park for World Refugee Day’ held in Wollaton Park, in Nottingham on Thursday 20th June, 7pm to 8pm.
Yoga in the Park for everyone
- A 60 minute donation based yoga class open to all.
- Please bring along your own yoga mat.
- Everyone is welcome – and we mean everyone! (Aged 17+).
- Beginners to yoga, as well as more experienced students.
We want to create a welcoming space that is dedicated to raise awareness for World Refugee Day. Please don’t worry if you arrive a little late, simply pull up your yoga mat and join in.
World Refugee Day – Yoga for all
Yoga enables us to feel connected and united. It doesn’t matter what shapes you make, or how you look, it’s how you feel. The class will explore a more mindful and simpler yoga practice that focuses on the breath with “Mudra, Meditation, Mantra and some Asana (postures)”.
Booking and Donations
The event is free to register here. OK, we are all thinking it, ‘what do we do, if it rains?’ We should still show up, right? Dependent on the weather we will be in the park, if it does rain the session will be at our studio in the city centre. Please register and we can keep you updated.
On the day there will be a bucket collection in aid of Nottingham Refugee Week. All donations welcome.
If you are not using public transport, car parking fees apply at Wollaton Park.
