60 hours Foundation Course May 2021
For anyone looking to deepen their yoga knowledge and practice, consider joining our 60 hours Foundation Course in May 2021.
The learning takes place over a five-month period, from May to September. Meeting once a month, the course hours are 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on Sundays. This course will run in person at our Nottingham studio.
What does the course cover?
This course teaches you how to develop and modify your yoga practice. Covering essential yoga postures, from standing, balances, to floor-based postures, including twists and supportive spinal postures.
You will learn to safely explore your range of motion in different postures, this will help you develop a more sustainable practice. The emphasis is on functional yoga. And explores how a regular practice of yoga can change according to our lifestyle, age, and experience.
Beyond the postures, you will learn about yoga philosophy, which includes journaling, group talks, and supportive discussions. The 60 hours course covers meditation, how to develop and deepen your own practice. The aim is to apply this learning to your day-to-day life.
In addition, you will explore the subtler practice of pranayama, breathing techniques, and relaxation, all of which will help you boost your immune system, and bring calmness and awareness into your daily life.
The five days run as explorative workshops, with guided practices, learning, and applying techniques. The aim is to create a safe and secure learning environment supported by the team and each other on the training.

The foundation course fee is £540 – This includes all tuition, learning with the tutors, and a comprehensive training manual. Plus an online five-class pass. Closing dates for applications are Tuesday 4 May 2021.
Who can join?
Anyone wishing to deepen and expand their practice, willing to explore yoga in depth. The ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience or longer within yoga. We recommend attending online classes and getting to know the studio before embarking on any learning.
What about the Pandemic? How does this impact the 60 hours foundation course?
The intention is that the five days will run at the studio, with social distancing measure and following clear covid-19 protocols. Online learning is also available as an option for anyone unable to attend any of the dates.
This course serves as an ideal stepping stone to the 200-hour yoga teacher training course.
