Ashtanga Yoga Nottingham
Ashtanga Yoga Classes Nottingham – Monday evenings 5.15pm to 6.15pm
These classes are ideal for anyone that is new to Yoga or anyone new to Ashtanga.
What will you learn?
You will learn standing sequences and Sun Salutation Sequences A and B. Plus seated poses and a set finishing sequence. You will gain a clear understanding of how the breath works within the postures.
The class incorporates Bandhas, the art of Yogi locks to ensure the prana (life-force, subtle breath) flows around the body with ease, and is not easily used up or lost. The practice of Ashtanga and all types of Yoga requires commitment and perseverance. As in both life and Yoga there is always something we are aiming towards. Finally, no Ashtanga class is complete without the focus of the eyes, we will learn how to ensure keep our gaze soft (drishti).
