Community Yoga Classes

News

Join us for a Community Yoga class! Our evening sessions run on Mondays from 6pm to 7:15pm during November 2023, and we also offer Friday lunchtime options. These classes are run by our recent graduates or trainees on the 200 hour yoga teacher training programme.

Our Community Yoga Classes are primarily aimed at underrepresented groups such as people of colour, individuals from a lower socioeconomic status, and members of the LGBTQ+ community*. It’s important to note that these classes are not suitable for individuals who are pregnant, new to yoga, or recovering from an injury. However, we welcome both beginners and experienced yoga practitioners.

Fees for Community Yoga Classes

We believe that everyone should have access to these classes, regardless of their financial situation. If you are unable to pay the full fee, please contact us, and we will offer you a free spot. We are grateful for the support of all our members, who make it possible for us to offer these classes at a reduced fee for the community. We also have a £5 class option for anyone on a reduced budget*. If you can afford it, please consider paying the full (supporter) price, as it enables us to keep these sessions running.

Join us for a fun, mindful-paced Yoga session that includes a brief period of rest and simple meditation, followed by mantra chanting and guided breathwork. Our postural practice includes standing and floor-based postures and movements that emphasise mobility and joint strength.

To book a Community Yoga class, please ensure that you are generally fit and able to perform standing and seated movements with ease. Then, purchase a class credit here. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
