Yoga for International Peace Day 2015
International Day of Yoga – Nottingham 2015
The International Day of Yoga event runs on Sunday 21st June and this two hour session runs from 3pm to 5pm and involves taking part in 108 Sun Salutations. The event will be open for all levels and we hope that you can join us. If you feel that you can only do half of the session, double up with another person and do half each.
The fee for all participants and any of the teachers and assistants leading the session is ideally £20 (if you wish donate £10 or £5 that is great too), all proceeds will go towards Nepal. Please note even if you are not attending you can still donate towards the appeal. To make a donation please click here. Once your donation is on it’s way, we shall be in touch via email and register you for a place. Thank you in advance for taking part.
We are hoping for a Sunny Sunday afternoon of Yoga, and the intention (weather permitting) is to hold the event outside – this will be in the City Centre, St Mary’s Place (around the corner from the studio) If weather does not permit the session will run at the Bahia Yoga studio, 4 Stoney Street. Please arrive at 2.45pm at the Bahia Yoga Studio, please bring along a Yoga mat.
The launch of International Day of Yoga was agreed with United Nations and comes with the eager backing from the Indian Prime Minister – read more about the set-up and launch here.
