Deepen Your Practice This Season – Summer Sivananda Yoga Workshops.
Dates: Saturday 8 July and Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 10 am to 12.30 pm

Join us this summer for Sivananda Yoga Workshops led by Jasminder Bahia, Director of Bahia Yoga. The workshops focus on the 12 classical postures of Sivananda Yoga, with variations and modifications for safe exploration of the range of motion.

In addition to physical movement, the workshops explore spiritual aspects of Yoga, including breathing, mantra, and mindfulness. Emphasis on mental focus and steadiness in Yoga postures, as well as deeper practices such as Prāṇāyāma and Śavāsana, promote ease and mental relaxation. Meditation, Dhyāna, connects students with Yoga beyond physical meaning.

Global Majority

At Bahia Yoga, we create an inclusive and welcoming space for all. We use the term Global Majority for BIPOC to acknowledge and honour that the majority of people in the world are not of European descent. This term recognises historical and ongoing systemic oppression and marginalisation experienced by BIPOC communities, centering their experiences and perspectives.
