Understanding the limitations in the range of motion, for different population groups. Including the applications of functional anatomy to help understand what restricts and what aids movement.

The second day explores movement and anatomical principles for the torso, spine, shoulders, arms and neck. It includes a simple lesson plan, and sequences on how to adapt movement for different groups. Focussing on techniques to help release tensions around the upper part of the body.
Both days include an introduction to simpler quieter practices, such as meditation, relaxation, mantra and mudras. The tutors will also share their experiences of teaching Chair Yoga to the public. Later in the course we will run a follow-up course in Winter 2019.
