200 hour Yoga teacher training
The next Bahia Yoga 200 hour accredited Yoga teacher training begins Saturday 6th October, 2018. The course consists of 12 weekends, over a 10 month period. The 200 hour Yoga training finishes July 2019. To view all the dates click here.
Our popular weekend course has been running for over 7 years. The 200 hour course is accredited with Yoga Alliance (international). After successful completion students are qualified to teach Yoga classes to the public.
How does the course run?
The course runs one to two weekends a month at our Nottingham studio. The day begins 9am and ends just before 6pm. With daily teachings on yoga poses, meditation, breathing techniques, and relaxation. With time to deepen your own personal practice. There are scheduled breaks to spread out the learning. A workshop style approach to studying to help acquire this new knowledge. Practical aspects of the course include journaling, creating scripts, class observations and the business of yoga. You will cover the history and philosophy of yoga, sequencing and planning classes and building up to teaching classes to the public. To view the full curriculum read here.
Who are the teachers?
The course director and founder of Bahia Yoga Jasmin, runs and co-ordinates the training. Alongside Jake, who runs the meditation and philosophy training. Chris an accredited Yoga teacher leads the anatomy and physiology section. Kate, leads the Ayurveda and lifestyle aspects of Yoga. There is also support from mentors and teaching assistants who are all graduates from previous trainings. Read more about our tutors here.

The course fee is £2,700 – this includes the training manual, all tuition and examinations fees and certificates. If you pay the deposit of £600 at least 90 days prior to the course start date there is reduction of £200. This would reduce the overall course fees to £2,500.
